WARNING TO MEMBERS
Just to let you know, we were broken in to at home recently and our two Porsches were stolen from our
drive. The thieves are trained and organised. They broke into 4 homes in NW Kent on the same night, stealing cars
but nothing else. They seem to come from SE London.
The Police tell me that the incidence of this type of crime is escalating. So "" set your burglar alarms, ensure all doors are locked
(without the keys in them). Ideally review all locks and window security.
Hide your car keys and move the car files away from any area they could break into.
(They levered a 5-lever locked door out of its frame to get to our keys and pulled out details of our cars from the files)
Nevertheless fit a Tracker and if it happens to you, report the theft quickly!
With luck, you'll recover the cars but it will still cost you c £1000 to change their locks, let alone deal with any damage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Above is an unfortunate email from a club member, so remember to be on your guard. [8|] It does still happen.
This one sounds like a professional gang, which I think you have to be unlucky to get stung by[:'(]
The argument for tracker versus no tracker is a long one we have had a few times.
