Just seen a 944 Turbo out in the 6" or so we have here and doing a competent job of handling it!

Rather better than the Maseratti Coupe stuffed into the central barriers of the M1 about 5 miles away.......

My 944 is still on the drive as I've just done 200 miles in the van.

My 944 is safely tucked up on the driveway and will stay there. My Golf on its M+S marked winter tyres is a far better option than a sports car on very summer tyres []

Roads are clear but the Porsche is staying in the garage until the better weather comes

Mine's sitting under a blanket of snow in it's parking space in Reading. It's not so much that I'm concerned about the conditions, it's much more the behaviour of other drivers. I've been astounded by the number of people I've seen driving around without having bothered to clear snow off their cars. The windows are half covered, the lights and turn signals are totally covered. So massively impaired visibility and other drivers can't see any signals.

Ive just done the 25 mile commute home in my s2 & it was a lot of fun! It was getting tedious sitting behind a truck doing 20mph for half the journey but once I got it on the dual carriageway I could (gingerly) open it up a bit. The fact I could overtake everybody is obviously due to my driving skill rather than the winter tyres!

Went from home to Dumfries and then on to Carlisle and back home up the M6/M74 then over my fav bit of the A70 and home. Some of the hills looked white ,but no snow on the road. Although the roads are white with the amount of salt on them.

West Cumbria..................No Snow, just bloody cold ! called to see a mate at his garage tonight, went home after my toes went numb ! lot's of salt about so no 944 ventures, forecast some, so bring it on as the kids sledges are good to go !

Classic range rover on winter tyres does the job just fine. Main issue this morning? Slow buggers in my way doing 10 mile an hour and crashing. I mean it just makes your day so much longer and duller when it really isn't necessary[]

Note to self. In the snow use the most rural, least populated roads if you want to get to work on time.

944 will remain safely tucked up in the garage until the white stuff has gone.
Discovered that the 996 has surprisingly poor traction when trying to pull out of a junction up a very slight incline - no chance! No choice other than a rather graceful pirouette on the spot and went back the other way []. Even got an appreciative round of applause from some passers by. Not planning anything other than absolutely essential journeys

Drove to Windsor and back in the audi, brilliant snow all the way but roads pretty clear and empty. Roads too salty for the Tcab, and it would be silly to risk it leaving a quattro parked up.

Avoided driving and used the little Citroen when I had to, am figuring if someone runs into me or I run out of what limited talent I do have that parts may be easier to procure for one of millions of Citroen
C1's than one of 300 and dwindling 944 cabs, cant imagine those rear wings would be easy/possible to still repair, well not economically.

Had no problems going out yesterday. Neighbour's Disco 3 is truly fantastic in the thickest of packed snow! Very easy to go round stranded vehicles, and great fun knocking over the piles of snow on the verges where people have cleared their drives....

Wow,in a bit of ice and light snow I was managing fine in company Beemer,snowed yesterday heavily and it was almost undrivable...[&:]
Cayenne on winter Tyres goes through anything and stops on the button pretty awsome infact!

Par for the course nowadays, unfortunately. The roads are full of morons like this [:'(] And then they complain when they hit something[8|]

So massively impaired visibility and other drivers can't see any signals.

I cleaned the vans indicators (and No plate) 3 times yesterday before getting home, headlights were fine, melting the slush easily, but the indicators........
