The "Brighton 2013" Thread.

Been twice now to the "Supercar" Sunday meet, loads of exotic marques turn up Bugatti, Ferrari's, lambo's and Porsche's. The only problem is it gets very busy. If you want to get in and see the car's then you will have to get there no later than 7:00, otherwise you will never get anywhere near the entrance before most of the exotica has already left, because of the traffic jam's around the aerodrome on this date are mad. But its a great morning, count me in.
ORIGINAL: Ex Skyline Alan (loc 944), It is always nice to get a bit of help/input regarding the dates. What's the point of me saying "such and such" a date and no one can make it? I'll try to keep it as brief as possible. You're in Glasgow anyway so you wont turn up [:D]! Ok, i have been on the blower to Goodwood Circuit regarding Jon Mitchell's suggested Breakfast meet. They inform me that they have" Breakfast Club" meets from 08:00 hours on the first Sunday of most months but the one that would most probably suit us would be the "Supercar" day on the first Sunday in June (there is also a "Thoroughbreds" day first Sunday in August). Failing that it's Clacketts Lane on a Saturday and a Hammer down to Brighton! Just a bit more feed back from you lot would'nt go amiss and I WILL make a date decision and meet up venue by the weekend [8D]. The free scoff at Brian's is still there as a carrot, no worries! This could be a good summer meet or you can always tell me to "Go forth and multiply"!![:D]. Sorry Jon, there are no planned German themed days this year at Goodwood but, we're off to the Nurburgring 24hr rennen in May so that don't matter [8D]!!

I'd say this makes it a non-starter then. I can get to Goodwood for 7am without too much hassle, I do it at the Revival and the FoS, but I can't see it would be viable for those from further afield like the 2 Andys who are perhaps 3 hours from Goodwood to start off with. Probably better if we go for a non-Goodwood related meet.

Right then! First weekend in June it is. Either a late start on the saturday with a thrash to Brighton from Clacketts, then some grub, beer, whatever or, an early Sunday start from Clacketts, hammer etc and Breakfast at Brian's [:)]. There, done it! Finer details to be worked out by me and posted over the next couple of weeks once iv'e checked it out with the council whether or not Madeira Drive is booked up that day. If it is, there are plenty of other places to meet up in Brighton [:D]. I'm looking forward to this already [8D]. Goodwood will be manic on that day and, is best avoided according to a couple of people i know who go to the breakfast meets regularly. My 944 Turbo is "Supercar" enough for me anyway [:D].

ORIGINAL: andy watson Hi Pete, How are you doing with the date confirmation?? looking forward to the breakfast [8D]
Well i guess that makes it a Sunday morning meet then Andy [:D]. Ok mate, i will confirm the date this week, no worries.

Ok guys, here is the date you,ve all been waiting for! I have checked it all out with the council and Madeira Drive is already booked on Sat/Sun 1st/2nd of June [:(]. However, the following Sunday 9th June, Madeira Drive is completely free with no events on at all so, Sunday 9th June 2013 it is!![:D][8D]. Looking forward to seeing you all there [;)]. Bacon, Sausage, egg rolls along with Tea and Coffee will be available at my mate Brian's Cafe all on the house/me. I hope that will be "Carrot" enough to tempt as many 44's as possible down to sunny Brighton on that day (even you will like it Glen [:D]). Bring plenty of change for the robbing Green Council's astronomic parking machine's []!! We could even do a PCGB version of "Cool Hand Luke" and Lop the heads off the parking meters with some chain cutters []!! .....But i am getting carried away. So, early meet at Clacketts Lane, Blat down to Pease Pottage Services to pick up anyone who wishes to meet there instead and then race the Plod unmarked Scoobies and Evo's down to Madeira Drive and....Brekie at Brian's![:D]. What say you all??

Boo! I am working that weekend. Unfortunately I must be a "no" unless the work schedule changes.

GREAT! That's a good start![8D]. Mike, Newhaven is about two miles from where i live, what road does your sister live in? All my wife's family live there too, it's a small place [:)]. Very good start indeed. Must be the greasy brekie's on offer [:D]. Bad luck Glen, i hope your work schedule does change mate. So, what is the general consensus of an early morning meet up for a blat from Clacketts Lane?[;)]

Thanks for the attendee's list Andy. Was going to do this myself but you beat me to it! Cheers mate [:D]. Any more takers? Any more for any more? How's about you Edd? Mr Mc Nutters? Mr Mitchell?[:D]
