Great photos as ever, thx guys. Brief race report from my point of view. DONINGTON PARK -- JUNE 2012 Early morning rain came in some volume and with 45 minutes to qual, we settled for a wet setup. Sitting in the assembly area the rain had stopped, it rapidly got brighter, windier and warmer. Quali started and the track already had a 75% dry line!, a few minutes later it was fully dry ......... whoops. Car too soft, tyre pressures too high. Put in a few laps but then the tyres got too hot as expected. Came in and had to drop 6 - 8 psi per tyre, that takes time, then back out to see if I could improve. Ended up 3rd in Class behind Eacock and Koeberle, but Eacock was not going to have any further involvement as he had a bang with a slower car when exiting the Craner Curves. Race 1 in dry conditions. I had a space in front of me on the grid and got a good start. Soon settled into some consistent lappery and wondered where all my Class 2 rivals were? They were a few seconds behind me but battling for their own places, this inevitably slowed them down a bit and they never caught me. All I had to do was keep the pace up and stay away from errors -- the latter can be a big challenge. Job done, a class win. Race 2, also thankfully in dry conditions. This time I had space to my right in the row in front on the grid. Got a decent start and managed to ease to the right which is essential for the first corner at Redgate. Koeberle caught up a couple of laps later and took me down the finish straight in a good move, I was left thinking how to get past. A few laps later I saw my chance after The Old Hairpin and managed to squeeze through on the way up to MCleans. Battled most of the rest of the race with Harrisons Class 1 964, I just could not get passed, but Tim Speed was then catching me in his Class 2 968. A slow chicane for Harrison on the penultimate lap left me struggling for pace and I got taken by Speed on the finish straight with only 80 seconds left to pull it back ...... I had no answer and 2nd in Class 2 it was. A decent points haul for the 2 races, the car is going well and we now move onto Croft on Teeside for races 7 & 8 -- on July 21st
