Plenty of s2's still seem to be at or around factory outputs - these aren't Italian motors you know.... That's going on the results of previous dyno days.
Amen Brother!

I suppose turbos might make more power on the rare occasions they are on the road... [;)]

Miaow! Saucer of cream for Mr edh please! (Although I can't disagree ... ) [;)]

Oli.

Well I know Ewan can take a joke... And for balance, his car does have the nicest gearshift of any 944 I have ever sat in.

So what are you going to buy Oli?

I have to say, the only thing (and yes, it is pretty much the only thing) that appeals from the current Porsche range is a Cayman. I can dismiss everything else but the Cayman does have a bit of an appeal. Not enough of an appeal for me to splash out £40k (or whatever they cost) on one, but everything else goes from "I'm not really interested, sorry" (911) to "Not in a million years" (Cayenne).

I think I'll stick with my beloved 944 for now. It's as much car as I am ever likely to want, and whenever I drive it I am reminded that I am the weakest bit of the driver-car combination.

not really interested, sorry" (911)
I started off in 1982 with a 924 Turbo, then thought: "When a 911 pulls up next to me at the lights, I would want that, rather than this" so had a series of 911SC cars. Then school fees intervened so I went away from Porsche. Coming back via the "cheap" route of a 944, I thought it would be a step to getting back to 911s. Or a 964, or a cayman. But after 18 months the urge to change has gone. Having sorted out the niggly bits (with lots of help from the 944 Massive on this forum) I don't even feel the need to upgrade into the unknown. Ever onwards to the magic 200k marker.
