Taycan or no Taycan - company car dilemma

Hi everyone,

I recently set up my own company and am going down the company car route, electric seems the best option as there aren't many interesting low co2 (lower than 50) cars readily available (discuss?!).

Taycan Cross Turismo 4S seems like an obvious choice but I'm surprised how many are available and how long some have been for sale. I thought maybe people had started in the sedan then migrated to a Turismo but I spoke to a friend who runs a premium car dealership and he warned me off the Taycan. In his opinion the electric bubble had burst and many people were reverting back to ICE. He also mentioned many people were the 'wrong way round' and said he had 5 in stock, one specifically he took as a trade 9 months ago for £125k that is now up for £105k not generating interest.

Everything is relative so maybe used cars are a bargain, but I'll be changing in 18 months so might not ride out the initial depreciation.

Keen to hear if anyone is in a similar situation regarding a company car and also any feedback on the Turismo used market in the UK.

Finally, looking at a Gentian Blue with Slate Grey interior, if it was a black interior I wouldn't hesitate (apart from the depreciation concerns), any thoughts on slate grey?

Thanks!

It is correct there are a lot of 2nd hand electric vehicles for sale and they are not selling. The market is not good generally but the advice is if you want a new electric car then take it on a lease.
