Taycan 12v battery

Amber
I haven’t taken it up with PCGB. My local centre told me to call Porsche Assistance as they couldn't help. Feel free to quote my case if if helps. I have a 2021 Taycan turbo with all the latest software updates. Simon

Heres hoping you get some kind of resolution to your issue from the dealer or Porsche AG

In the meantime, I've had issues with the battery on my Honda CR-V daily and the Porsche cranking slowly and hesitating to start.

The CR-V was flat as a pancake one day and I bought a NOCO Boost HD from Halfords - about £93 inc discount
Its a very portable jump pack that has enough juice inside to jumpstart the car approx 20 times!!
Charges via USB, and you can actually recharge the pack via the USB cable plugged in to a cig lighter adapter included in the box while you're driving!!

Started my car first time, and funnily enough I haven't had any issues with cold cranking since.

Couple of days after, the Porsche cranked slowly and I was going out about 20 miles, so I lobbed the NOCO in the footwell just in case, and I got held up i bumper to bumper two lanes of traffic on the way to get fuel.
Took me 1/2 to go about 2 miles
Went and stalled it approaching the roundabout and guess what, it wouldn't restart [:(]

Road was like a car park, and I just added to it!
Quickly got the NOCO out, clipped to the battery, turned the key and it started straight away. [:)]
Got on my way in less than 2 mins.

Only for it not to start at the petrol station haha, so had to use the NOCO again.
So it saved me 3 times in less than a week. Saved me calling the AA too.
Tried to charge the battery with the CTEK and it reported an error.

Bought a new battery for the Porsche and all is now well, the CR-V is going ok, and the NOCO is there in case of emergency.

I'd recommend one

Less than £100 at the moment

And I've got this for the garage as a trickle charger

Much as reported by others I experienced 12v battery issues which totally shut down my Taycan only 10 days after its last use. The AA ( Porsche Assistance ) were very good and their technician got the car back running in a short time. My Taycan is 20 months old and I have thoroughly enjoyed it and been impressed by it. But I simply find it bewildering that the 12v battery issue is still persisting after quite some period of time. Surely Porsche should have sorted out this issue by now. Very unimpressed !
