Switch on fuse box cover in drivers footwell

Anyone know what this switch is for? It doesn't seem to do anything when I press either top or bottom of the switch, although there is resistance and an electro-magnetic type of click...

I have a 99(V) C4 with full GT3 Aerokit, PCM1, and lots of other bits (many fitted after delivery so no codes listed on the under-bonnet sticker!)

Yes it's the manual override for the automatic spoiler. It won't do anything on yours as you have a fixed spoiler.
