Weather started out pretty grotty. Drizzly rain and gusty wind. After mid morning sky cleared and sun arrived stage left. Blustery wind caused problems for gazebos (cheapo tents which have no sides).
Counted around 75 Porsches with good spread of model types including 356, 944, Boxsters, early 911 (912, 911T and 911S) and modern. 964' s in abundance and Kenny Boy arrived after a tortuous journey (must have averaged about 20mph from Colchester). Just shows that it is worth the effort.
Peter Skelton deserving of much praise for the event. Another one of PCGB' s unsung heroes who deserves recognition (and maybe honaray membership). Supported on the day by Rivervale OPC (Michelle in attendance) and ELITE tyres.
Ideal for family day out if you haven' t been to Bentley before. Motor museum, interesting house and the wildfowl park. Oh, and a train set slightly bigger than Mel Spears!
Put it on your list for next year. The Susssex region like to keep it a secret. As I am from the Kent region, Mel is from the Surrey region and Ken is from er, Essex the secret is out.
See you there in 2004

I must admit that at one stage. I nearly turned for home , It took me four and a half hours, owing to the A12 being closed on the Chelmsford bypass because of an accident. then Road works at East Grinstead.
At Bentley a Boxster owner suggested that I should try a different route home, which I did and got home in just over One and a half hours !!! Local knowlege[8|] If you are reading this posting, Thanks.
