Suspension turret bolt holes

Hi Guys and Gals,
im in the middle of refreshing the front suspension on my 996 c4s. I noticed that the bolt holes through which the top mounts attach are slotted, allowing around 10mm of movement. It this critical when re-assembling? There are marks on the paint showing a couple of different positions down through the years.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

It will be to allow suspension / wheel alignment geometry adjustment, predominantly the camber. Are the nuts marked in line with those on the body ?

 
You will certainly need to get your suspension realigned, if settings are lost or replacing with new parts. Porsche allow for adjustments to be made, more so on GT cars.
