Hi - My name is Gary and I'm a newbie here in the Porsche world and this forum .

I recently purchased a Boxster 03 plate 2.7 Tiptronic . I bought the vehicle form a classics car dealership
to throw some money and love at it and enjoy it .

Is it worth s suspension refresh to re establish the original factory Porsche experience?

If so , how mush would it cost and does anyone know any specialist in NW England that would offer such an upgrade ?

Thanks in advance . G

I would ask if any noises are apparent when driving the car, esp around town on rougher surfaces.
If all is quiet then leave it alone.
The indie specialists around you are listed in the Porsche Post magazine each month.
Ace people are Neinmeister ( possibly spelt wrong!) in Warrington.
Have the indie specialist check the car over on his ramp and see what he advises.

A full factory geometry set up is well worth while, the chassis is quite sensitive to geo positions.
Your tyres will thank you.

After the geo check/ reset some good new tyres will make a big difference to the car and your enjoyment.

Finally, make contact with your region officer, again details in Porsche Post nd ask him for any specialists members have used to good effect.
Word of mouth reports are worth it!

Finally #2:If you are learning about the car maybe a full on major service will be good at the indie, depends on what history the car has.

So, an inspection at the indie, suspension set up if all is good under there, if needed fresh tyres, maybe a full service.
This will get the car to a good level so you can drive the life out of it!

Boxsters thrive on being used, but not abused!

All this based on my 8 years with my now 82k mile 2009 987.2.

oh, and welcome to the forum!

Sound advice from Graham there Gary. If you Google “Porsche specialist in the Northwest” you’ll find a number of reputable Independents in your area, among them Ninemeister, Tech9 Motorsport and WEISSACH UK. I’m not in your area but if you contact the Club’s Regional Organiser [available on this website] they should be able to give you some useful advice.

Just one final piece of advice: join the Club!😀
