Suspension bushes

I'm going to have a go at changing my Trailing arm,spring plate, (and the other ones) bushes....

any advice on which ones are best and where is the best place to buy them from would be most appreciated

I'm looking at lindsey racing unless you know beter

I take it you will be using poly bushes? please do a write up as you do it as its something im contemplating (I am doing all the fronts over the next few weeks)
 
I was thinking of using monoballs on the trailing arms and poly bronze on the spring plates but I'm open to advice, I'll photograph the progress but I was hoping someone with more experience than me would guide me through it[:D]
 
Elephant racing has offers polybronze bushes. Link here http://www.elephantracing.com/suspension/diagram/944suspensiondiagram.htm. There is an install guide for the spring plate bushes also.
 
I would say polybronze and mono balls would be ok for track work but way to harsh for the road.I would stick to using poly bushes. You can get them from almost any good parts company. The problem with making you car very very stiff is that if yu have any weaknesses in the shell i.e. corrosion or old spot welds etc than you will place a lot of strain on these areas and you could end up with spot weld popping and any corroded steel spliting and cracking. That's why race cars are built using new shells with all the seems welded and extra strength of a full weld in cage etc.
 
Solid wishbone mountings (actually 968 type at the rear) have caused all manner of little squeeks under my windscreen.

Agree, no compliance so all the stress is back onto the mountings. Polybush are better than OEM but still offer compliance but less movement and a degree of shock absorption.
 
OK solids are out then "that's saved me $300" I'm thinking then I should go with OEM style rubber instead of Poly as I'm told Poly can squeek, Elephant racing do 2 types of rubber OEM spec and sport [:D] Just to be clear I'm talking rear suspension only the front has been done with OEM bushes and 968 caster blocks.
