When this health scare is over, it's generally considered we're going to be in for a rough time economically. [&:] Some of the high fliers, who normally buy aspirational motors will feel the chill and may be dropping out of the market.
In a recession, cash is king, so anyone with a bob or two in their locker, could well be snapping up a bargain supercar very soon! [
]
Currently, Lambo Huracans are languishing at just around the 100K mark, even the more focussed Performante can be had for just a little bit more. Prices for McLaren 720S have tumbled to £150K and below, whilst the 600LT (which incidentally I rather like) has a sticker price of around £200k, it can be had for £150K (or less) with just a couple of hundred miles on the clock. There's no waiting list for the latest McLaren GT either - they're in the showrooms now and looking for buyers! [:-]
A £110 grand Mercedes AMG GT with 10,000 miles can be bought for £50K and the hard core GTR version (£180K) is now less than £100K.
And whose to say these prices won't drop further once we're all free and safe to show our faces again? [
]
With Italy so badly hit and seemingly in lock-down for yonks, Ferrari having closed up shop, so what price can a new F8 Tributo be bought for? Maybe down into Porsche pricing levels? - and with 7 years of free servicing that would make it an extremely attractive proposition.
992 Turbo S would then need to be discounted in order to compete! [8|] Now there's a thought!!!! [
