During my last oil change one of the ten sump plate studs came out with the nut attaced. It screwed out ok with no damage to the thread, so I put it back in, effictively like a bolt as the nut did not move, on completion of the oil change to see what would happen and all has held together fine. BTW the nuts I use are the 'acorn' domehead type, which i know some people do not like but i get on fine with them.
Oil change time is now hear again. The question is, should I do the same again(and worry about the bolt working loose resulting in a nice trail of oil) OR remove the nut from the stud using the old locking nut trick and glue the stud back in to the case with some super strong epoxy adhesive?
Thoughts please...
