Hi Guys
Currently running the 2006 Cayman S (49K miles)
Just recently when ive been out for a run, when going back to the car and re-starting the engine while its still hot (or at least not had time to cool down fully) ive found that it is struggling to start.
The engine turns over fine and it will fire eventually (although ive got to press the gas pedal a fair bit) and then it will either:
:- revs drop and cut out
:- or start and run rough for several miles until given a good "blow out"
Its as though the engine is gasping for fuel as there is plenty of spark there
I never touch the gas pedal when starting, although this is the only way to get it going at the moment, and this is only when its hot and it only happens on the odd occasion
Otherwise the car runs superb
Ive recently had the oil changed to Millers Nano-Drive 10W50 NT which i believe to be a "thicker" oil- would this effect it ?
On the very rare occasion i have smelt Fuel ?
I fill up with the same fuel (97 ron) every time
Any assistance or help would be much appreciated
(And must say, the Evo Triangle yesterday was "Superb" !!!!)
Cheers
Steve
