Well after reading some stories of 968’s that have been left in gear taking themselves for a drive, I decided to take a look at my alternator harness,
not good, the insulation is breaking up and it wont be long before the solenoid wire shorts on the main battery cable and the car will be off for a drive,
the thin blue is the exciter for the alternator, the red Is the Solenoid Activation wire, if the red shorts to the battery cable you will be off if left in gear.
only solution as the harness is NLA is to make a new one,
