Stainless Sports Exhaust, or not?!

Was toying with the idea of fitting a stainless steel sports exhaust and possibly a K & N induction kit. My current exhaust may well be nearing its last legs, as it' s beginning to blow a bit, so this has perhaps encouraged me to look at the options.
If I go ahead and fit the above, might my insurance company treat this as a " modification" and hike my premium up accordingly?[:mad:]
Does anyone have any experience of this? I' d be greatly obliged for any feedback.
 
you cant get better value than the genuine unit, it is part mild steel part stainless steel, and will out live any aftermarket system, mild steel or stainless, and I expect you will pay more for stainless
 
I took the easy way out when I modified my car, and asked the insurance company what they would do before I did it. As it happens, the answer was ' no increase' , so I did it.
