Alan Burton has kindly volunteered to organise our first run out of the the year, the details are as follows;
1. Meet on the Sunday at 10.00am Stokesley High Street in the Spring.
2. Drive to "˜The Moors Centre' at Danby (couple of miles east of Castleton in North Yorks Moors).
3. Undertake one of the circular walks available from there (suggest the Little Fryupdale walk, which is about 4 miles and will take between 2 and 2.5 hours for dodderers).
4. Return to "˜The Moors Centre', which has café, art/exhibition gallery, shop, etc.
5. Go home.
Notes:-
Good safe car park at "˜The Moors Centre', £2 per day.
Picnic lunch/refreshments to be taken on walk (best to visit café after walk rather than before, otherwise we'll never get started!!).
A waterproof jacket and sensible walking shoes or boots required.
Those not wanting to walk could still come on the run and stay at "˜The Moors Centre'.
"˜The Moors Centre' is free to get in. Further details of facilities can be seen by following the "˜discover the places/visitor centres' link at website:- www.visitnorthyorkshiremoors.co.uk.
Further details of the "˜Inspired by---"˜ Gallery at "˜The Moors Centre' can be seen at website:-[/LIST]
