Sports Exhaust

No issues it will pass both emmisions and noise levels I actually had it fitted by an ex 1980's AFN Porsche mechanic now working as manager at a local Kwik Fit which also does MOT's and he said it will sail through as I had already been advised by Carnewal before purchasingORIGINAL: cjfp Many thanks for the fast reply. Apologies that I didn't realise there were already threads not in the Cayman section. Obviously the PSE is switchable and this would get it through an MOT re noise - what is the position re the Carnewal and MOTs ?

It wasn't available as a factory option when I ordered mine, but the dealer said around £1800 for supply and fit once it becomes available. I like a shouty exhaust, but I do quite like the noise on the standard system, so I think I can find better things to do with the money!ORIGINAL: cjfp Has anyone had the sport exhaust fitted as an after-market extra? Just to let you all know that a few weekends ago I spent a great couple of days in Belgium with Gert of Carnewal - stayed in his lovely guest house, ate wonderful food and drank some nice beer. Oh, and I also had his GT Exhaust fitted to my Cayman, along with the Sport Exhaust Tip (had no intention of getting this extra bit, but it looked so good when it was in my hands!). The exhaust is great and I have saved so much money. The sound is a perfect rumble both at idle and when accelerating, and there is no deafening boom in the cockpit - I couldn't be happier. If anyone is thinking of getting this done then I would recommend this without hesitation - [link=http://www.carnewal.com]www.carnewal.com[/link]. If anyone wants any further info then please do not hesitate to contact me - alternatively, email Gert @ Carnewal and he will (usually) reply within a couple of hours.
