[FONT=Arial"][FONT=verdana,geneva"]It may be just an RTFM problem but can any body advise if it is possible to manually raise the rear spoiler for cleaning or is it a case of buying jumbo sized cotton buds?
 
You're right about "RTFM" - there is a slider button down to the right of the footwell, this allows you to manually raise and lower the spoiler.
 
I have had the spoiler stuck in the up position- but I got an error message when I started the engine, and then every time I passed 75 MPH

Still being under warranty I took it to ml local OPC (sounds like treading).

They took it apart- couldn't find anything wrong;- fitted a new spoiler assembly- it didn't work; refitted old assembly- it worked again.

A bad earth I imagine.
 
Is yours a 986?

I recall when I had one, I often parked the car and found the spoiler up. It turned out that occasionally I'd hit the button accidentally with my foot.

Funnily enough it's not occured on the 987.

Ahhhh thanks it might be that, it is a bit of a struggle getting out of the car when it is in the garage, so I could have knocked it with my foot/knee....

I was just getting worried, because the manual states that there may be a fault if it stays up
