I can't find the thread (might be imaging it) posted a while back but I know the Gruppenfuherer is keen for more 964RS to participate ....

I would be keen to do Brands Hatch and Goodwood in the RS, as long as does not clash with son's wedding and RS Fest ...

Hugh in the minty is already down so with Melv that woud be three from here for at least two rounds in a 964RS/Cup Car.

Do you get any adavantage from driving there? [;)]

Will do some this year - depends what venues are used.
No benefit to driving to events - except the satisfaction of it and the worry that you've got to keep it sufficiently together to drive home afterwards!
Think it's fair to say that all the drivers of 'proper' 964RS (as opposed to the cup car 'race track refugees' [:D]) have driven there and back in the true spirit of competing in road cars!

Great Tony, we are now Four ..... Cup Car maybe not road legal but can easily be, but the real road legal true spirit of a Porsche 911 is the MOO3 Spec N-GT, road legal and every bit as extreme, and dare I say as mine wil be .....

This is the true spirit of the Club in it's purist form, hope the amateurs amongst get more encouragement from Motorsport and focus on the members ...... [:D]

I am seriously considering racing my 64RS in some of the PCGB speed events next season, rather than the SC I used this year. Des, I'm pretty sure Brands Hatch will not be on the calendar next year - the organisers are concentrating on the circuit cars [:(], but Castle Combe is certainly worth thinking about instead. Mel got a win there this year in his first outing in the Speed discipline.

The hills are a lot of fun too and a lot more scenic than the circuits. Loton Park, Shelsley Walsh and Prescott should defo be in your calendars for next year.

Just to clarify the BH situation, we were rushed thru in the morning with barely a break so they cld get on with the racing in the afternoon....[] If this was my intro to sprinting it would have put me off for life! When you consider the distances some of our competitors travelled for half a day......

I think the consenus was to not to return to BH unless they changed the format.

But on the bright side you got a new sponsor at BH[;)]

Yeh, but the additional drag and weight cost me first place by 0.4sec!!!![:D]

Definitely be good to sort dates and get at least one event, where we all get to play. I now officially have more track cars than road cars, the only problem is getting out to use them. Once the calendar is out we can agree dates. I know Ian and Chris are up for this too - or should be. So that would make potentially 7 if it all works out.

Castle Combe is on 25th June next year.....

It's Bristol MC's Centenery year celebration that weekend - we are organising the sprint as usual on the Saturday. Afterwards there is a BBQ and bar plus live music. Overnight camping is allowed. On Sunday some sort of 'last 100 years' display/show thing is planned.

Well that's one weekend sorted!!! Look forward to it.

So.....Speed entry with PCGB? Check........Approved gloves/helm/boot and overalls? Check......... MSA Non race 'B' licence?....Check........

And your cars will be scrutineered...............cheque!! [:D]

Get on the case chaps!![:)]

I will be out again next year however not to as many events due to a planned bike tour in europe eating my budget. Sadly it also means that the plans to boost power to try and overcome the 2% penalty for slicks is out too, hence going to be hard to win against you lot....but gonna try veeery hard![:D] Hope to see you guys there.[:)]

Simon you are safe with all the slow 964,s about [:D].They will look nice in the paddock though!,and great to see some out on the hills.

Yes everything in date,belts,ext,suit etc

Sorry, Paul! You don't need to have FIA dates on any equipment for Speed events. Suit and helmet must however be to the correct spec. Extinguisher is advisable, not compulsory.

Cheers![8D]
