Speed bumps and turbos

Hi , I am a new member considering buying a 996 turbo . However , I live in South west London where traffic calming policy appears to have gone nuts and the place is full of speed bumps . I see the turbo has a pretty low front valance and was wondering what sort of experiences people had had with them when faced with town planners worst atrocities?

I previously had a 996 turbo and if driven carefully over speed bumps nevr had any issues.
However dipped ramps and carpark ramps taken square on caused damage.
I had two front splitters fitted in two years. the splitter costs about £125 plus fitting of 1/2 hour

Half an hour seems a bit strong - it's only a 2 screw fixing. Still I suppose you have to get it out of the wrapper first!

its the standard turbo you will have very little problems. If however you go for the body kit and lowered suspension, then you will have to take care, but still should be okay if you drive carefully over the humps.
