Hi all,

Does anybody know if CMS Porsche, Telford carry out repairs to 944's, or are they just breakers ?
I need fuel lines replacing and want an experienced mechanic to carry the work out.
I was considering Porscheshop Halesowen as I thought that was the closest Porsche Independant to Telford.
Any advice or information would be most welcome. (Need to stop the petrol dripping.....and quick !)
Cheers

Andy

Steve does have a mechanic working at CMS but he is very busy.
My choice would be to contact Dave Griffiths at Shrewsbury.

I have added a section for tyre suppliers following a question in another thread, let me know who you use in your area & I can add them to the list.

Hi Graeme,

Good recommendation for tyre suppliers are Eclipse Tyre Services in Alcester. They now have a new optical alignment bed which is very high tec. I had my tracking set using the new equipment which produces a printout of the before and after values and it only cost me £22 !!! :D Getting some new tyres from them on Thursday and they are hard to beat on price.

Unit 3a, Arden Rd, Alcester, Warwickshire B49 6HW [FONT=verdana,geneva"] Tel: 01789 764033

Cheers

Dave K.

Thanks Neil,
I have started a new section for Body Shops & given Reynolds top spot as they are the local Porsche Approved Repairer.

Am going to pop in there next week to have this done. Cheers for the tip.

Used Eclipse this morning to have a full laser alignment done. They were really good. Very professional and great value for money. Will definately be using them again.

Big thumbs up.

Great news Chris, there is a guy coming along to the Bowling Green Inn from a suspension geometry specialist soon keep an eye on the calendar for the exact date.

Although I'm a R9 guy I'm very near to R13 and found this thread interesting. Does anyone have experience of using
http://www.hardytyres.com ?

I've just had my first puncture in my 997 C2S (front nearside) and have a few questions that I've already asked on the 997 rgister but I'd also appreciate your views on:

1. Does the tyre pressure monitoring system make this a mandatory OPC visit?
2. Tyres have done <5000 miles but I will need to change both - yes?
3. Assuming that I don't have to use an OPC can anyone recommend a West Midlands (ideally Kingswinford/Stourbridge/DY6 locality) tyre depot that can handle TPMS and be relied on not to damage my rims?

Thanks

We use Hardys for all our Tyre & Exhaust needs. They will swap tyres & exhausts bought from the internet a reasonable rates & I have always had my vehicles treated with respect by the employees. Let Pete the manager know if you have any particular concerns when you arrive & you should be fine.

Graeme, I spoke to Hardys on Friday. They can get a replacement tyre in 24 hours and will fit it for an all in price of £188. Alternatively they offered to fit an on-line sourced tyre for £20 which looks like the most economic route at the moment, current best on-line price is circa £153.

Hi All,

We have just moved to Shropshire and I think Dave Griffiths is my nearest specialist.

Anyone had any experince - good, bad or ugly ?

Chrs Eddie

Just had a service done by Dave Griffith, followed by front wishbone bushes on RS, good job, reasonable rates, very knowledgable, very helpful. Live local to him so car collected and returned also.

Tony

I'll second that. My SC was with Chris all Saturday and the Boxster S handles beautifully after Chris sorted it out last September.

I've had good service from Exhaust Tyres and Batteries in Worcester and they've price matched tyre quotes I've got from elsewhere.

Body shop in Bromsgrove that I have used successfully. Paul, the proprietor, is very helpful

What is the address and contact details of the much mentioned Dave Griffith of Shrewsbury please? Thank you!
