Speaker Pods

Ok not everones taste but here's something I have been working on for some time now, well trying to except other things keep cropping up at the weekends.

The speakers were freebies so my only expense has been for the genuine material, the mdf and a pair of crossovers. Its really hard work trying to make an 8 inch speaker fit and even with them brought this far out in pods there is still not a lot of clearance between the speaker and the window motor. Top tip when fitting tweeters do not use a hole cutter on the door cards it tears at the vinyl, a craft knife is a much safer option.

I have the Nokia 10 speaker set-up, sounds nothing like you'll be getting!

Nice little touch with the Porsche badges on the speaker grills too. I also have the Nokia setup and have been thinking of changing them out. Did you renew any soundproofing in the door?

Yep there is some additional sound proofing in there, the badges were tie pins that I bought, I chopped the pins off and a dab of silicone holds them in place.

Sound wise I have not listerned to them, I did not get time to wire in the crossovers and im also waiting for an adaptor for my ipod.
