Has anyone got any advice on the best plugs to run on a modified engine? I' m currently running NGK BP6HS. These make the engine easy to start but seem to be down on power at high rpm, compared to the champion plugs I use before, which kept breaking down. It has been suggested that increasing the heat rating (cooler running plug) would give better top end pull.

Anyone already played about with this, as changing the plugs is a pain, so only doing once more would be good.

This is my 10th post, in to double figures now; I can tell you' re impressed.

Lots of discussion about plugs, I have used loads of different ones over the years.
Andy has put in NGK B6HS in my new engine, as for Champion well I can' t repeat what folks have said about them. I have used Bosch W7BC and Bosch Platinum WR7BP which were great at not fouling when trundling around town.
According to a spec sheet from Bosch for the 912 they say it should be a W5BC.

I am no expert on plugs and their ratings so if someone could shed some light I am sure we would all be grateful

have a look at these links I found

very simplistic
