Smoke coming from the wheel where the belts are connected on a 993c4s, with varioram.

I, I'm after some advice, I have a 993 C4S with varioram. There is smoke coming from the wheel where the belts are connected to the right of the fan (see images). The whole unit is still really hot, so I suspect something has seized. Does anyone have experience of that or who would have an idea of what it's likely to be?
Any pointers much appreciated.

Aircon compressor. Likely that the clutch bearings have failed so take the belt off for now. You can usually buy the clutch pack with bearings and pulley separately.
