I've just been out for a drive in my 996 C4S , Ive not had the car very long and I don't use it through the week as I cycle to work and back , but I've Been back in the house for around an hour now after my drive and I'm still smiling to myself , what a truely stunning car they are and what stunning looks they have , I chose this car over a 997 S , as I think it's a stunning looking car , even the head lights which are a face lift of the earlier 996 are stunning looking and very unique and I can't honestly see what some people have a problem with regards to the shape of them , they are beautiful and I'm convinced the 996 C4S will be a true sort after and very collectable car.

 
I agree 100% i have a 02 Generation 2 Carrera 4 & i smile every time i drive her & the looks you get make the driving Experience all the more Rewarding
 
Completely agree. Just took mine out to the corner shop for the heck of it. Clearly I had to go further than around the corner to make sure it was fully warmed up. Fantastic car.
 
Naturally you're preaching to the converted here, but nonetheless I totally agree. I enjoy every drive in mine even if the drive itself is fairly mundane. It's the reason I went for the 996 over an M3. I don't think I'll ever get tired of a cold start with the PSE 'open' and rolling through the street in first gear.
 
I'm yet to have a sports exhaust fitted , but I've got to be honest I can't wait, I too love the sound of these 996's with a sports system.
 
Again i agree on every thing , & i thought it was only me who liked going threw a busy small town streets windows down in fist gear lol what a sound she makes & the Attention she gets what a lucky guy i am to be driving her !!
 
Whole heartedly agree, the 996 is a beautiful car, a bit more understated than later models, absolutely love the rear end, as someone said, if you walk away from your car and don't look back, your driving the wrong one.
 
Yeah that's very true , I look back several times if I'm honest haha , it's strange because 20 years I owned a 911 SC coupe , and although I loved the car it didn't make me smile and feel the same as I do when I drive my 996 .
 
The 996 is a great looking car,it's just taken the die hards a long time to realise. I love trundling down the motorway at 60 and watching people look at the car, some of the reactions are hilarious. Great cars
 
I think there is a secret link that as you press the throttle it links to your face a makes you smile?? It's just such a lovely car even to look at when stationary. I'm in France at the moment and every 996 I've seen has had someone photographing it??
