Slight hesitation on part throttle

My 968 Sport has a slight hesitation between 1900-2200 RPM that's proving hard to diagnose.

I've just recently had a very comprehensive service (all fluids, belts etc) including a fuel filter and plugs/rotor/cap.
The garage has fitted a new set of 944 ignition leads just to see if this cures the fault and although it feels slightly better it still has a slight hesitation.

Can anyone shed any light on this . . ?

My initial thought is that your garage has put the balance belt on incorrectly -- then I wondered whether the timing has been done OK as well (can be tricky on a 968) -- then I worried about the cambelt install !!

As you have just spent a load of money with a garage on the things I mention above -- get it round there immediately and tell them to fix it pronto!! I would be very suspicious of what they have done, our cars do not have hesitation at 2000 rpm.

PM me if you like to tell me who did the work -- I would guess it was not one of the known marque specialists

Just wanted to say thanks again Paul for taking the time to see the car for yourself and all your advice - top man [:D]

My first Porsche, a 1991 944 S2, had the same problem. A slight hesitation/flat spot between 2600-2800 revs. My excellent specialists recommended that i have the injectors cleaned to resolve the problem. I could not afford to do so at the time and so did not bother. May be worth a try. All the best.
