I took the plunge and bought a new 997 carrera2 which was delivered in July - why am I posting on the Cayman forum? well , I guess I thought long and hard about a cayman S - I accept it may be a more accessible and possibly ultimately faster machine in terms of on road driving for the more standard driver BUT it's just too small for me - I don't have too many extreme dimensions at about 6ft 1in and I do recall driving a boxster a couple of years ago which was unsurprisingly the same rather tight/short fit. To be comfortable for me,the Cayman seat needs to be at or virtually at the limit of rear movement leaving no flexibility for leg reach and seat rake - I like to vary my driving position from time to time . Oddly , I don't recall reading about this aspect of the car in magazine tests etc.
This is just an observation - perhaps others were influenced similarly?
