side window problem

Hello. Wondered if you could help with this one. My passenger window has popped out of the channel into which it clips, and when I look down the gap into the door, the channel is in the bottom of the door, now disconnected from the regulator. Does anyone know how the channel connects to the regulator? I'm pretty sure from looking at pictures online that it is not actually part of the regulator, but I'm not entirely sure.

The side channels are part of the door. The regulator and motor bolt to the door and fit onto the window using a separate metal piece, which incorporates a channel. Each end of the regulator mechanism holds a wheel and this turns within the channel, with the space between the wheels lessening or increasing due to the mechanisms scissor action as the window rises and falls.

Youre going to have to take the door card off to do anything, but when you do itll all become clear.
 
Thanks. Have taken the door panel off now, and I can see the problem. The channel that holds the glass has 2 rubber inserts glued in place, but one has come away and the glass has become dislodged and then dropped. Just need to glue the rubber back into the channel and I think I'm sorted.

Found out that the car must have been broken into at some time in its life, as there is lots of old glass in the bottom of the door.
 
I was going to say, the channel is part of the window, lift the window up by hand, and get a stick to hold it in place so you can get it all placed correctly, its fiddly but do-able I have done it a few times unfortunatly.
 
there is three channels, obviously the ones that the window sits in, to push up and down straight. and the channel the regulater sits in to do the pushing.
 
I was referring to my own post, which Ive edited to try to make it a little clearer. Redundant now though, as the OP has removed his door card and can see what I was trying to explain (too briefly).
