SHOCK RS PRICE TUMBLE

How can these Cowboys call this an RS FFS .... its an 85 3,2 Carrera with a 964 Body kit FFS ..... SIUPTA .... [;)]

Wow, 1985? That's a really early one. Have you got it in your notebook Martin? [;)]

It's one of the cars built up from a shell within the 0000-0060 VIN range. Very very sought after and thought to be extinct until now. Buy it quick! [;)]

How do these people sleep at night trotting out such utter bollox ? "of course there was the RS conversion option" ..............

Indeed Martin it is a very rare car and in fact a one off ..... originally bodied as a 993 pre production in 1985 to follow the Carrera 3,2 they dropped the project in favour of the 964. When the accountants got there hands on the money they resurrected the 993 to follow the 964 using cheaper parts, shorter screws and egg cartons with Tony Hatter now prancing around in a go faster dentist spec kackenhander while knocking one off with Walter Roll-Bar .... So this in fact is a rebodied 993RS in 964 Guise with a pair of tony Hatter's Y-Fronts still wrapped round the tool kit ....:ROFLMAO:

Unbelievable, do they really think anyone who has half a clue would not just step away.

There do seem to be a lot of "classics" up for auction of late, I would be surprised if 50% sell???

I am however looking forward to the owner of the rare '85 "RS option" car, turning up at a register event, with their new toy.

As per the Colvin RS owner at Bromley Pageant a few years ago...............[:D]

Would appear there is a bit of an over supply of rubbish '73 RS look conversions in the World as well... given there are 3 in that auction alone!

And Des "SIUPTA"?? You've been hanging wiv da possie again wiv da SMS speak. Would u care to translate?

Now this sounds like a story worth hearing??

Not much to it Rick, really....

At the BP with my Rs a few years ago, a chap comes up to me and says's "I've got one of those".

Expecting to get into the finer points of M002 vs M003 and lack of carpet etc.......It suddenly comes to light, that the guys does in fact own a Colvin 911 replica......which is no doubt great fun in it's own right.

At this point, I politely interrupt him and point to a chap on the other side of the display, who is in fact the PCGB Colvin club secretary and lives, breaths & sleeps Colvin's and will be able to help him.

I stand back smiling as this chap talks to Des about his Colvin RS for some time! [:D]

Isn't it Covin? (not that I'm an expert on them or anything [&:])
P.S. Can't even believe we're having this conversation.

Straight into the trap!....Thought it might be you first! [;)]

Nice though and great value.

Ah bless.... [;)]

Some of the 2.7 reps would be a better buy.......but I've ALWAYS hankered after a XJ220.......[:)]

Some numpty bid it to £17,000 + premium which was submitted to seller (but a long way below reserve [][][] )
