Shark Blue Seat Belts...

Having just acquired a 2022 GT4 in Shark Blue, I'm just in the process of making a few tweaks, one of things I'm wanting to do it swap the seat belts from the current silver to Shark Blue.

I have spoken to 3 main dealers, all of which say the Shark Blue are not available to order.

I've tried the usual places online (Design 911, eBay...etc) but nothing.

The only place I've found them available is via Suncoast Porsche in the US, however, they won't ship seat belts outside of the US.

One main dealer I spoke to said the only blue they can get is "Cornflower Blue", from my research, this is supposedly pretty much the same as Shark Blue (but the dealer was not able to provide a picture of the belts).

So my first question is, can anyone on here confirm that Cornflower Blue is the same as Shark Blue (apparently Cornflower Blue is used by VW on some of their cars, same colour, different name).

My second question is, does anybody know where I can buy a set of Shark Blue belts?

Picture for reference...

I have also looked into having the webbing replaced, but would prefer to stay OEM is possible.

Thanks.

You’ll likely end up paying a lot more if you go ahead with this at your opc. There are plenty of reputable companies online ( orion, ttw autotrim,FDTS etc) that will happily send you colour samples before you buy..It’s definitely worth making a few calls to the ones closest to you to explore your options.
Good luck

Try the Airbag Team. Mat Armstrong on YouTube uses these all the time.

I too gather VW cornflower blue is the same as Porsche Shark blue. I wanted to do change both the belts and door pulls to Shark blue on my 718 Spyder and OPC flatly refused! Please let me know how you get on and the cost.

Suncoast price….

But as you say they require a HAZMAT approved shipping agent…..

The other potential issue with the Suncoast option is that apparently the belts they sell do not contain the ECE safety standards mark but instead carry the US equivalent (FMVSS), this means they would be considered illegal to use in the UK.

I will keep you posted on how I get on.

Talking of door pulls, this is another tweak I want to make which is to replace the nylon pulls with the proper aluminium door handles found in the GTS; don't get me wrong, I do like the "racing/track" vibe you get from the pulls, but for me, I much prefer a proper door handle

I will check them out - thanks.
