Fit Ferrari 355 or, more importantly for this forum, 968 (or 944 Turbo/S2, I think) front callipers. Might also fit 993 or even a 928 - can someone advise?

I bought a complete set of 8 as fitted to a 355 but the proud owner had them removed by the garage after the first half mile as he didn't like the noise! I had one set in the fronts on my 968 CS and found them brilliant, rarely heard them, just occasionally when cold, and they stopped really well, even after bedding in on the way to a track day! Anyway, here's the other set. Make me a sensible offer.

Probably hadnt bedded them in properly. [:(]

It takes at least half a mile of half a dozen max stop/starts to bed them in so they are smoking hot and then another couple of miles without touching them to let them cool and then another half mile to do it again to heat cycle them properly.

Very probably. I had to bed them in the M6 on the way from EMC to Oulton through the morning traffic. Some very puzzled travellers couldn't understand why the old blue car was braking so hard, so often and for no apparent reason! Not easy without causing an accident but it did the job. I never regretted fitting them.

Price indication, as Im semi-interested and in need of new discs and pads?

PM'd you. Meant to say that Kevin advised using the Sebro (?) discs from Euro Car Parts as they were much cheaper than the factory ones, performed just as well and the shorter life was more than offset by the price differential. I never regretted taking his advice.

Yes, Sebro are an OEM supplier and far better than Zimmerman.

I havent received a PM or an email, but my inbox was full here, which I have remedied.

Steve Brookes has cleared up exactly what they are - not Yellow but yellow. After I put a photo on the F/S thread he posted:
"...you can see the Brembo logo which suggests they're pads made by Pagid for Brembo. The plates are just painted yellow while the friction compound is RS 4-2-1 which is also known as 'black'. Still a decent track compound but not an endurance compound like RS29 (yellows)."

This explains why they are fine for road use. I presume 355 callipers are yellow, which is why these would be painted that colour.
