Morning,

My father is struggling to get his car looked at with a rough idle on a 997 turbo, our usual Sports Classic knutsford is booked up for weeks to even look at it.

Wondering If there was anyone else we could contact nearer to him as hes gutted as just had stents put in and at 80 years old hes not got many turbo summers of driving left, hes had the car 20years and would be gutted if he sells over something like this

Thanks in advance ☺️

Not much to choose from in the Lakes apart from an OPC but try Loe Bank Motors in Bury, Unique Porsche in Bolton, Jasmine Porschalink in Clitheroe.

If your usual is in Knutsford, you could try Ninemeister in Warrington, Weissach in Middlewich, Unit 11 in Warrington.

Cheers Dan,

After speaking this morning I think he was ringing south lakes opc. At least as car 20years old it should benefit from the 15% classic discount.

Fingers crossed just a maff sensor or something similar.

Cheers

A MAF sensor or coil pack would be the first ports of call; a faulty cam sensor maybe? Any Porsche-specific diagnostics should get to the cause of the problem quickly.

Fingers crossed it’s a simple problem to resolve - and not too expensive! - so that your father can get the car running smoothly and reliably.
