Service garage advice

I'm looking at getting my 996 serviced soon and since I last had a porker my preferred garage has moved, so I'm looking for advice for the best porker savvy garage close to south Bristol - other than Lovett who over charge... Thanks

Hi. I use Lee at Cotswold Porsche near Tewkesbury. A quick blast up the M5. Good price, really nice guy. Looks after the whole Porsche doesn't just do a job and forgets about you.

Thanks for that. Hopefully I'll be able to find somewhere closer but I'll give them a ring if I can't.

Cameron Sports Cars is Porsche specialist indy based just off the A46 near Dyrham Park (M4, J18). Not used them myself but really impressed when I saw the set up. All techs are Porsche factory trained, in fact most of them are ex Lovett Bristol. Also, one of the business owners is the ex Lovett Bristol DP. They can service to be compliant with Porsche extended warranty if necessary as their workshop has all Porsche approved kit. Fixed price servicing with prices posted on their site.

Thanks for that. There was a time when the A46 was my favourite road in the country. Well, the bit between Nailsworth and the M4. It's got no really hairy corners, was pretty traffic free (in the 70s), is very fast and no police. I used to drive it every day from my home in Stroud and work in Bristol. Truly fantastic memories. Sadly the politically correct who stay within the speed limits clog every road these days, including the A46, which is now a shadow of its former self. I've heard that police patrol it regularly too. What has the world come to ?
Although I know the road well, I've never heard of Cameron, nor seen any signs for it. But I'll certainly take a look as their site seems fine. Thanks again

No problem.

I came across Cameron when I was interested in a used car they were selling. They were keen to show off what they did but they were friendly and relaxed without any pressure. I'm sure if you call them they'd be happy to give you a tour of the facilities to help you decide if you want to use them. They are in West Littleton, left off A46 about 3 miles south of J18, so nearer to Bath than the bit you used to use.

I'd be interested in your experience if you go ahead as I'm seriously considering using them in the future.
