Guesses please, nearest to the actual figure wins the right to pay the bill for me...[;)]

My car's ready, after a month at RPM. Not seen the final list, but I think it's had all the following:

MOT
Service, only a little one. [&:]
Belts, water pump, tensioners, oil seals etc.
Welded rear suspension mount
CV boots
1 rear wheel bearing
a couple of light bulbs

[]

Hmmm

parts... £1150 ...labour..£1000
total £2150

mind you I have no idea if they used OEM parts or what their labour rate is..:)

£1764.78

Good luck with getting the payment from the luck winner.....[:D][:D]

I am sensing a lot of out of hours gardening coming on once the weather breaks..........

£1673.26

(I reckon they took pity on you and threw in the bulbs for free [;)] )

you didn't say how many cv's of course..

£2400 Inc Vat (which includes for all the other stuff that was needed, unbeknown to you at the time!).

Dunno the answer McNulters, but this thread makes me ever more grateful that I do all the work on my S2 myself ...

I think I should point out that I was being very conservative with my guess, I didn't want to scare Paul to much...:)

What I would charge you Paul.

Belts and tensioners £180
Water pump £210
Wheel bearing £150
CV boots £100
Welding £100
Service £150
Labour for above service and belts £200

I would say it will be about £1900 from RPM

There's got to be some recompense for putting up with our cold wet miserable climate......................would much rather have your slightly warmer wet miserable climate!

I reckon 2 times what Al would have took which is £2180.
