September 2019 DOTM - Cotswolds Coffee & German Classic/Modern Cars REGISTRATION OPEN

Hi, Planning to meet at Silverstone could you let me know which cafe you're planning to meet at.

Cheers

Gary

Hi Mark,
I'm down at Brackley, what sort of time will you be at the Croughton pick up point, would be good to join the Porsche convoy.

Cheers
Pete

Hi,
I'm travelling from Buckingham, so plan to be at the Silverstone Circuit Cafe for 08:15 to meet up with anybody travelling from the Super Sausage, does that sound OK? If it doesn't work out, see you all at The Classic Motor Hub.

Regards

Gary

Hi,
I haven’t heard any think back about times at the meeting points for Silverstone or Croughton.
I’m going to be at the A43 Croughton roundabout (Barley Mow) for 8:40 to leave at 8:45 with six other Porsches

Thanks Pete,
I'll call round to Silverstone, see if there's anyone there, and meet up at the Barley Mow for 8:40 if that's OK.

Gary

No problem, we will be parked on what was the old road just as you turn off the roundabout towards Croughton.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the late response.

As stated in the first post on this thread, those that wish to travel together may join the group leaving the Super Sausage Cafe, Potterspury NN12 7QD at 8.15am. Linda and I will be breakfasting at 7.15 if we get up! I am taking my Guards Red 3.2 Targa (B520 WYX).

Subject to traffic, that will get us to the Silverstone Circuit Cafe NN12 8TN by 8.30, and to the A43/B4031 Croughton roundabout at 8.45 or shortly after.

The Silverstone Cafe might be open for the WEC, so those meeting us there should wait as near as possible to the exit back onto Dadford Road, ready for a quick escape. It looks as if there will be at least 2 or 3 cars at Silverstone and Pete with his 6 chums at the Croughton roundabout, where there is a small tarmac area to pull into on the left immediately on the Croughton side.

If everyone who has contributed to this thread comes along, the convoy could be 18 Porsches long, with Audi, VW, BMW and Mercs too. I will count numbers before leaving the Super Sausage, and we may have to separate as we did before into two streams, one of which could bypass the Silverstone Cafe.

You are all of course free to travel as you wish, and if you are not at the meeting points shown above, I will assume you will not tag along.

For those that are at any of the three points, I will hand you a suggested route if you want it; its the one that I will follow.

If all goes to plan, we should be in Bibury in time for a coffee and comfort break at the Swan Hotel. If so, I will endeavour to park alongside the river - with luck, most cars will be able to park in line. Back markers might have to seek an alternative patch.

After the event, Linda and I intend to lunch at Hook Norton Brewery, if anyone wants to make a party!

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Cheers.
Mark

First time for me at The Classic Motor Hub and have to say I found it a little disappointing I suppose it was ok if you were in the market to buy a old car and pay those way over the top prices but for me ……... it just didn't do anything for me and when the pastry came out it was like chewing lumps of rubber also what was the entry fee for ?

Lovely to meet up with old buddies and there was some cracking cars in the car park

It was good to see everyone and a great sight with 10 cars in my rear view mirror on the drive down.

The atmosphere at the Hub was great and there was plenty to see, so it’s a shame you weren‘t impressed, Mike. We all have different tastes, so that’s why it’s important to have a variety of events on the R10 programme.

We we had a few dropouts yesterday. Plans change of course, but if you can, please try to recycle your tickets so that others get the chance to go.

Cheers.
Mark

Had to change my plan last minute Mark, so was unable to join you. Luckily my ticket was resold and the money donated to the Hubs charity thus-‘Thanks for letting us know. We will pass on the donation to Kate's Home Nursing who are a local charity that we regularly support.’ Hope to see you on the next event. Big road trip to France ???? can’t wait. ?? ??
See you Thursday

Dave ??
