Hi Everyone

Just to remind you that the Registers event is on September 8 (see PP) and is, conveniently, to be in our region at Calke Abbey near Ticknall in Derbyshire.

http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/calke-abbey/?campid=MIDPPC

Admittance is free and you do not have to be a member of the National Trust just turn up in a Porsche.

Bring a picnic and make a day of it

Cheers

Kerry & Tom

Great event and the location was ideal for such an event with room to expand.

It couldn't be more central for a national event and it was good to see so many had come from a long way off, maybe we'll use it again at some time.

Alan did a great job with this.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the pictures Mike......I think that you really captured the relaxed mood of the day.
Many thanks also to all the R8 members who turned up early (you know who you are) to help with the parking etc.
I think we all did a sterling job of keeping the different marques together even if the 911's became a little mixed up towards the end ( only because we ran out of spaces [;)] )
Cheers

Seeing that this event was initialised, negotiated and organised by Ken Coad he must be very pleased that it was a success and enjoyed by many. Ken is still in hospital but is getting slowly better and is looking forward to the day he can drive again!

Plus one!

I'd have loved to have gone, and would have liked to see Calke at a better time in the Club calendar. Sorry I coudn't help more, and well done to all who stepped up and helped when Ken was incapacitated!

So pleased to hear that Ken is now recovering well, please pass on our good wishes and we look forward to our region helping him - if he wants to organise it- next year.

Tom & Kerry,

Many thanks for all of your help and support over the weekend, your region members did a great job in getting everyone parked in the right place, and with their help in breaking everything down at the end of the day, made it easier for me to get packed away.

Whilst I had some reservations at first, in whether we could honour our commitment to provide a good display of cars in number, (taking into account of two other regional events that we clashed with over the same weekend,) I feel we did achieve our goal, our allocated area was full with approximately 110 cars in attendance.

We should also provide thanks to Paul Stephens, who in addition provided a number of his cars on display for us to drool over !

I believe a good day was had by all, a terrific venue, good facilities and sunny weather!

+1

As relative newbies, we recd a warm welcome from all, esp R8 and R9 (we're equidistant to both).

Very chilled and a great drive out (weather helped[:)]

Great day out, wife liked it because of picnic, boys liked it because it was a big house they could run around in (garden) and I loved it as I drove my car down and parked up with all you guys :) win, win, win.

Big thanks to all R8 organisers from a R14 member, great day out. My wife, 6 year old daughter Jessica
and I really enjoyed the day. Fabulous setting, great walks and things to do. We had a great drive
back to Wales on Sunday as stayed at my brothers in Littleover. The 2 hour plus drive caused some
muck on my 996 C4S. Looking forward to next year already!

Yes, an excellent day out - well done to everyone involved. As others have said, a terrific location and the weather couldn't have been better.

It was good to meet and chat to a few Cayman owners, including those of you who post here. We seem to be a rather rare breed at most of the events I've attended in the past, so to get 8 Caymans together counts as a bonus for me.

Sorry, meant to have said yesterday....did anyone lose a yale type key at the venue? It was handed into me as found near the PCGB marquee.

Please contact me if it is yours and you can describe it.

Kind regards
