Selling up

Due to a change in my circumstances I'm having to drive about a 1000 miles a week. I couldn't inflict this on my beloved S2 and have had to put her up for sale (Pistonheads).

I'm now the proud owner of a 330d... which in comparison is not quite the "Ultimate driving machine" that was advertised :)

Hey dan... sorry to hear this mate, cars are funny things more like a mistress than a piece of metal. Well we all know what happens to a mistress , she usually gets replaced by a better, younger, more up to it type of girl.... let's hope the same goes for your next 944 and let's hope it's the Turbo that you wish for.

that day will come and we all look forward to hearing your exploits hunting for more boost....[8D]

Pete

I hope you get your asking price. I have seen worse cars up for sale for more money that people have called 'minters' on forums despite the cars being blatently hanging.

Would you sell the wheels separately? I have a set of very good Teledials with all new tyres that we could swap over plus some cash you're way if you are interested.

sold sold sold! gone to a guy called Tim on the Forum

boxster wheels with 4 good tires are still available at £400 ono ta :)

Congratulations.

Selling cars is imo a loathesome task so well done on your quick and seemingly painless sale.

Maybe I've taken it wrong, but he seems to have come across as an honest seller in the listing. Something that is seldomly seen and often making the best buys IME.

Thats the reason this car had such an appeal. He could have quite easy filled the whole and wax oiled it to hell and sold it as a proper car, but no told me everthing that was wrong with it etc. It made the 200 mile trip back home without a grumble on 20 quids worth of petrol so I'm happy. And hopefully dann will be with his new car.

After all that fettling Sandy?
I'd just keep it and buy the Cayman anyway, you've got the space!

David,
I would love to keep both but cant justify the money at the moment. If anyone does buy it then I will try and negotiate first option to buy it back if they ever wanted to sell it. It will be sadly missed. I got the cayman last night so its definately up for sale.
Cheers
Sandy

A Cayman is about the only car you'd get me out of my 944 into, but I fear you'll regret selling ...

.... but that's not what you want to hear! All the best with the sale.

Looks a good price to me Sandy

Hope you enjoy the Cayman - I looked at a new one at Porsche Leicester - looked lovely. I'm very happy with my flat six mid engined Porsche so far - did you get the bores scoped before purchase?

Ditto. I wanted the old one, but really want a new one (which I can't afford) so if I had an old one I'd be wanting to change so might as well stick where I am......if that makes sense?

Me too, had a new one for a couple of days, just the base model, and it was brilliant. Sadly no money, well not to spend on cars so a I am told [:)]

Actually, it makes perfect sense. You can carry on wanting the newest model, or be happy with the one you've got. I'm very happy with the one I've got and intended to stick with it ...

so ideally people would only let the 994s go for a caymen? , the only other models for me that i would consider in the future would be a supersport coupe or some sort of 993,,,jasonp

I regret selling lots of sh*tty old 911s for next to nowt, which are now worth £30,000+ each! If I do own another air cooled car then Id happily swap a 944 for a 3.2l or a 964.

I see that the 964 is no longer the ginger step child of the 911 range. Ive always argued that it was one of the best 911s, but wish that people had agreed with me without buying them and increasing the prices...
