S2 Transaxle in a Turbo

Combination of rebound too high on rear dampers and knackered front dampers. The real big clue was looking at a vid clip from quali at Silverstone when the back end stepped out going into Stowe. I could see the car start to nod over the bumps from the front end. On about the 3rd or 4th nod the back end whipped out very quickly. It wasn't until I drove the car on track with the fronts rebuilt I realised just how soft my fronts had been, probably since I bought them. The car literally was rock hard at the front at Brands even with the bump on half setting, any of the bobbing or nodding the car used to do had gone completely and it could literally be thrown at corners. Like completely different shocks and this completely changed the way the car handled, it had waaay more front end grip than the car has ever had before on corner entry to the point that I realised after lunch on Friday testing that I was nowhere near the cars limits in this phase of the cornering.

Thanks Neil. That's informative. Mine will be different causes but clearly needs to be solved before next time out.
