S2 racer improvement advice wanted!

Looking to improve my S2 race car - at current most of the car interior is stripped out however the sunroof and trim is still fitted...

Was wondering has anyone stripped out there sunroof before and did you fit a replacement screen? (presumably steel sheet?)

Also looking at wheel spacers, a lot of people are mentioning 19mm - have seen shed loads on eBay upto 75mm?!? All be it the 75mm probably wouldn't fit under my arcs! But is there a known limit to what you should try to run?

Is there much under the car - sealing, sound proving that can be removed?

Any advice or tips would be much appreciated as the car isn't exactly competitive!...although that could be down to operator error [;)]

cheers for that Paul his site shows some pretty extensive mods!

Dad - think we both knew there was a weight saving... was after tips more on how to do it as we're flying blind! (the best way to fly!)

Peter's still looks perfect after, I guess, a couple of years. It not only saves the weight but also frees up some headroom when wearing a helmet!

Performance Trim used to make a CF/GRP cover which weighed next to nowt, but unfortunately they went bust.

How much weight would you save by removing all the lining of the sunroof and just bonding in the outer skin?

Instead of taking weight off have you thought about putting a heavier right foot in it?

THAT'S IT!!!! Tom you need heavier shoes.......................................

On second thoughts, Na I don't think so, Colin's obviously not in possession of the full picture.
