I'm looking to replace the DME coolant temp sensor on my S2.

Design 911 tells me this is the part number - 92860620103 - £35 inc vat and delivery seemed quite alot so started looking elsewhere.

Does anyone know if there is a Bosch part number??

I found this Bosche DME temp sensor

But its only marked as a replacement for, 944 606 125 00 & 928 606 125 01 Which (I believe are temp sensors for other 944 and 928 Models). - which is a shame as its available for around £8!

Rather than work through various retailers it is often best either to go via Porsche or Bosch for definitive information.

Bosch themselves consider 0 280 130 026 to be the correct item for a 1990 S2

see here:

Select "all categories" and it comes up with all the other stuff.

Note that the second item you linked to, the £8 one, is not a Bosch manufactured sensor but a Motaquip one claiming to be compatible. I would buy a proper Bosch one, though I would also check the OPC price as a lot of times it is cheaper than certain 'specialist' retailers for Porsche related stuff.

Perfect, exactly what I needed to know thanks!

My local UniPart has an alternative Delphi sensor in for £8, I know its not Bosch but I think they are a relatively decent brand so going to give it a go.
