Hi,
I'm removing the camshafts from my S2 to change the cam chain. Managed to remove the big cam gear bolt (750mm breaker bar, big 30mm spanner and two people).
Stuck with the front double bearing bridge. I've removed the four triple square bolts and it won't budge, presumably because of the loctite sealant?
Tried knocking it up lightly with a hammer and wooden block, don't want to give it too much abuse as worried I'll break the head or the cams. Also tried removing the sealing plug at the end of the intake cam with a punch, but stopped because I'm not sure how close the intake cam is behind...
Only other thing I can think of is starting to remove the other bearing caps and hoping the valve springs will create enough pressure to pop it off, or heat.
Any suggestions?
Rob
