S2 Cab handling
- Thread starter J4CKO
- Start date
Having owned both, I believe the the coupe handles better, but thats only my opinion.
I would leave the car stock, if you want a track focused S2 then buy one already prepped, there is a couple on evil bay at the moment for not alot of money, for what it would cost you as a working project.
Edit - I got caught up posting messages to quickly and when I came back to post it you already had!

I would think the cab can be improved in the same way as the coupe, 968 castor mounts and/or fresh shocks (if required) would be a good start. Kwv3 may be a little hard for what is generally a cruiser but Josh Walker has a set for his, not sure if he has them fitted yet though?

It does tramline a bit, thinking that may be just how they are or possibly wear in the steering UJ or the fact the belt is a bit slack.

I wouldn't have wanted to go any harder than stock for the suspension though, as that would only have exaggerated the scuttle shake.
If you have to upgrade, ditch the cab a buy a turbo coupe[

968 castor mounts are a cheap upgrade that improves turn in and steering response, wont effect the ride either. Porsche recommend the 968 mounts when upgrading to 17" wheels on the 944.

Mine are set at the settings recommended by kw and make for a good compromise for a fast road/track car.

I looked at a KW installation instructions some time ago as I was helping a friend install his, and I can't remember reading any solid mention on ride height...?

Tramlining may be down to tyres, what do you have currently fitted? Mine def tramlines less now,but not sure if its down to different tyres or upgrading to kw's as both were done about same time, I suspect its a bit of both...
