S2 at Buchanan

I'm not entirely sure what the precise criticism of him is, other than he buys low, sells high and some of his 944s are allegedly not as good under the surface as they appear...but then he's not a porsche specialist so is that criticism unfair, caveat emptor and all that....i'm waiting to be shot down in flames.

Mainly as the first ones he sold were all (recently) fitted with box sills hiding rotten metal underneath. He also made some pretty stupid comments on Pistonheads and has allegedly treated customers badly. His more recent stock has looked a lot better than the early cars so appears to have learnt some lessons.

They do certainly look tidy cars generally speaking from the pics. I do recognise the white one with red leather, I think it was on ebay some time ago for only a few grand needing work - that said, he may well have done all of the work to a high standard and now have a very tidy turbo on offer?

If he had your car he'd turn it into £10k Hairy.....

I'm amazed you still have it,......but for getting an early offset turbo a few months back (not in the condition of yours) I would have relieved you of your responsibility

The last £12k turbo he had, had brand new x4 nexen tyres fitted - reasonable tyres are pretty cheap trade why would you fit these.

Why not, can you blame him really? People buy his cars they all have the chance to look elsewhere and he makes lots of money plenty of worse dealers out there up to the buying individual surely?

There is a thread on here about his last £12995 turbo (white one) - it was advertised on Gumtree for £3000 Ono - I tried to buy it! []

Cheers George - I'm surprised too - no further interest at all yet, other than someone wanting my wheels off it yesterday!

Give him his due, he knows how to make a quid or two, he puts in ridiculous bids for cars, and every now and then a seller will take it to get shot, he then tidies up the cars and makes a double your money profit.
I looked at a car he advertised with specific questions before travelling, some of his answers were less than truthful, it wanted tyres which i asked about, "all good" was the reply and as expected offered way below what my car was worth.........................KER CHING £££

I regard him as a liar and a person who conducts himself in such a manner, that anyone aware of this would avoid doing business with him. Id be no more likely to buy a car off this chancer than I would from the Trouser Snake purveyor in Wakefield.
