Hi All

Picking up a new 992 4GTS in a few weeks. Can anyone recommend an installer for front and rear dashcam around S Wales or possibly Bristol (Car is going to Topaz for PPF and ceramic coating).
Thanks

My one month old 4 GTS had the pre wiring in situ for the Porsche dashcam. Installation was simple and straightforward. No need to run cabling to the fuse box

If you have not done so, the Nextbase iQ (it's a smart dash cam) is worth considering; retails at £600 for the pair (before discounts) and a choice from 3 monthly plans are available. Comes with a plug which connects straight into OBD port.

B&B Audio are used by the Cardiff OPC apparently but fit a camera manufactured by someone unknown to me so I just fitted Nextbase cameras which work well. I didn’t wire into the fusebox due to warranty concerns.

There has been a lot of problem with the IQ especially the rear camera. It has been on going since November and the latest firmware 1.7.6 seems to have sorted the problems out. When it works, it is a very complex piece of equipment but very good. Easy to fit, just use the OBD connection.

After the software update, no issues so far and looking forward to their "Roadwatch AI" functionality going live.
