Guys

I am sure you will be able to give me the benefit of your knowledge my 1990 C2 964 has been running fine until recently, I had a couple of cut outs some months ago which almost felt like fuel starvation and the engine lost power, after a couple of minutes she started fine and ran ok. This happened a couple of times and then became more often until recently. The car is now running very badly the timing is all other the place popping on induction , running rich ,not reving etc. I have replaced the DME relay with no improvement and are now trying to get it on a diagnostic machine at my local specialist but they are unable to get me in until 9th June. Does anyone have any ideas as to where I might look next the fuel pumps are working and I have checked the distributer belt which is intact. I cannot think about not running her until 9 th June !!

Thanks

Thanks Mel , but have checked Dizzy belt, I guess I will just have to wait until I can get Her into garage 9th June.

Regards

Kevin.

Check: fuel filter, fuel tank breather, carbon filter, spark plugs, plug leads, distributor caps. Try: disconnecting battery (you will lose all saved data in DME and your radio presets) then re-connect battery and go for a drive. This will re-map DME.
