Dear Sir,
I form part of the Porsche RS family. I have 2 RS ' s 2.7 Touring ( the 9113601313 en the 9113600590 ). The first one has taked five years of restoration and is in brand new condition since 93 and covered 12000 km . The 9113600590 is in restoration for the moment. Perhaps You can help me with some information concerning the 964 RS-R ( 3.6 litre with racing equiment ) . I bought a brand new 964 RS-R in 1992 with chassisnr WPOZZZ96ZNS499237 in Indish red. The car covered some 11000 km. The april-number 911 & Porsche World report that around 150 RS-R or Club Sports were built ( see page 127 ) while on page 60 is talk of 290 examples. Can You give me decisive answer ?
I known that these cars have separated chassisnumbers between WPOZZZ96ZNS499001 and WPOZZZ96ZNS499290, but the question is :" were all those chassisnumbers used ? " . I known that for the Belgian market thirteen or fourteen examples were delivered, but I don' t no the number of those cars delivered for the German market and for the Swiss market.
In the French Porsche magazine " RS magazine " nr 12 of May 2002 there is talk of 91 till 104 cars that were built in this configuration. Who can give me the exact number of cars delivered per country ?
Regards.
Gaby Callewaert.

Hallo Melvin,
I was asking my question by Porsche Import Belgium ( D' Ieteren Brussels ) and D' Ieteren Brussels was asking my question by " Abteilung VAC 1 Ludwigsburg ( phone 0049 - 7119118376 an telefax 0049 - 7119118570 Chris Martin ) and the answer is:
" Please find attached 6 pages of information concerning VIN 96NS499237 which is the Model Type 964360 which is 911 Carrera RS in basis version with the M003 - Racing Safety Equipment according to the details below and on attached lists. Sorry we only have the total quantity manufactured but not split down into individual markets.
911 Carrera RS coupé ( M 003 ) - 96 NS 49 9001 - 96 NS 49 9290 - 290 .
There are thirteen or fourteen cars with M 003 equipment delivered in Belgium.
But how many examples are delivered for the Swiss market en how many for the German market ?
Regards.

Two sources of info come to mind here. you could try Porsche AG and their customer services dept. Or you could also try Thomas Schmitz of Hermanns & Schmitz. Thomas' knowledge of 964RS is vast. try his website.
