RS get together--Interested

I was with Jeff Hathaway earlier today and he thought that a late summer get together may be nice, having now thought about it, I would like to ask Mel & Des to consider if Sept 12th "Drive your 911 day" would be a suitable date ?

Our thoughts were :- Meet up 09-30 at my unit for a natter, pictures etc. Then perhaps do something like:

1] Half day rally school with Rally F2.com
2] Visit any event planned at Silverstone
3] Visit Snowzone for ski-ing
4] etc etc
Then back to my place for a cook out or similar

Some of the things will require booking and commitments so if we commit we must see it through. I am happy to organise but need the buy in of both the register sec & assist sec along with the owners.

Idea's welcomed. Please reply on thread if interested

Allan

Hi Allan. Great idea, would definitely be interested ............ except I am not around on the 12th Sept [:(].

Count me in if there are alternative dates. Always up for some petrol head activities - karting, rallying, spectating car/bike racing. Any of these would be great fun.

Regards

What a great idea!

The North West Region is holding it's annual concours on 12th September @ Gawsworth Hall and the 968's are trying to get a record number of 968's in attendance.[:)]

You wouldn't want to be outdone, would you?[:(]

Good idea, but 12th September bad for me - in Ibiza with 'the lads'. Hopefully my RS should be ready by September, too ;-)

PS I'm doing Bookatrack Rockingham in late Sep if any other RS drivers fancy it.

Dom, you are a wag!!

Great idea!! -so go ahead!!

I'll be at Donington for the Historic Ferrari Festival that w/e.

Hi Allen Looks like we will have to find another date. Car is loaded up and about to leave for Le Mans about 09.00

Ahhh,

And there I was thinking you would all be over to see me on the Carole Nash IOM Tour that weekend.

TT Mountain Course closed from the Ramsey Hairpin to the Bungalow for some legalised hooliganism.

Ill hold up the RS honours then.

Timmy

Great idea and I'm free on the 12th September, however it would seem to clash with several other events so how about first getting a date that we all can do and then round to yours Allan.............what about 18/19th September onwards?[:)]

Des
Can you either put up a poll on best dates or call members ? to obtain a consensus on dates because this event just got better.

Rally F2.com will put on a number of rally cars to suit the number of participants, truck & awning, a co-ordinator for the days events, full rally tuiton, Especially for our own RS's a high speed tarmac slalom or similar along with a flat out runway section. All at Enstone.
We would meet at Enstone in our RS's split into two groups, 1 for Rally tuiton in their cars and 2nd for playing with our own cars, break for lunch then swap over. We may also have a 4x4 for a gentle off road course if any ladies fancy that. Costs are still to be worked out but it will not be ludicrously expensive, somewhere around or even under £150-00 per participant. We will work out a nominal extra for anyone wishing to bring partners to observe and just eat etc.

Allan

OK Allan GO FOR IT..............I would think it best for everyone to give several dates (October?) on this thread as opposed to a vote...so the baby is all yours Allan....oh and where is Enstone?[:D]

Following Brands and JZ Machtech we need another official meet this year and should be up North with Allan so come on Guys let's suggest a date and ALSO interest in Allan's suggestion please.........[]

PS It's not all Ferrets and warm beer!

Hi Allen. New to the fold but once again subkect to dates I'd like to come along....I did the Forest Experience a while back in the depths of Wales and it was a hoot.....laterly fancied myself as Vic Elford.
