Hi guys

Finally we have a date and location confirmed for RS fest 2013. It will be held at Zolder circuit in Belgium on Friday 14th June 2013. Please make a note of this in your diaries. It is the weekend before the Le Mans 24hrs.

The trackday side of the event will once again be organised by Easytrack - as they did such a great job at Clastres last year.

I will post the event artwork and more info as it becomes available. I would be grateful if you could voice your interest on this thread. [:)]

Cheers
Martin

Jah Vol mienen Kommandant der 964RS Databasin .... IS THE Turbo allowed or should I keep the RS?

Hmmm .... let me get my calculator, after all 964RS Prices are set to leap and having an original 1000 homologation build will be worth double in five years[;)]

I hope to be there also. normally if all works out fine, again with the 2 other Belgian RS cars+owners you guys met at Clastres regards Hans

As Zolder is such a large circuit we will probably be looking at having to fill 75 track places. As the chances of filling all these with 964s are pretty remote, the track places will be open to all years of RS and other modified Porsche. Saying that, it is first and foremost a 964 event so if you're lucky enough to have a choice of cars to bring, i would ask that you please bring the 964 if at all possible. [;)] After all, this was the venue for the original 964 RS Press Launch in 1992. [8|] I have had a fantastic response from all over Europe so far and will be circulating the artwork as soon as it is finished.

Unsure whether I'll go to this after the Clastres debarcle last year... ...a whole load of 964RS, NGT, Clubsport and Cups all turned up at the circuit made lots of noise and drove too fast; the route back into St Quentin each evening was gridlocked with RSs and the locals stared at us as we quietly drove by; far too much time wasted eating out at nice restaurants and drinking till the early hours; Martin spent all night chatting up a butch girl who turned out to be a lesbian; the Mayor of St Quentin forced champagne upon us and made us display our Rosbif Porsches at his civic reception evening; the Stig turned up at the Friday sprint event and embarrassed the raceboys; then on Saturday everyone buggered off to Reims to buy champagne, more eating and more drinking. [] I'll be there! :p

Just a quick update. The event artwork is now in the process of being sorted. [:)] Also, while looking for 'places to visit' during the few days after Zolder, I have been alerted to this event at the Ring. Might be worth a visit: http://www.adac-eifelrennen.de/start/news/2012/10/01/das-adac-eifelrennen-um-den-jan-wellem-pokal-2013/

I will be emailing a full event itinerary to all database members at the end of this week. It will include links to all the hotels that we have booked. [:)]
